Normal voltage type lithium ion battery: nominal voltage of 3.7V and charging cut-off voltage at 4.2V.

High voltage type lithium ion battery: nominal voltage of 3.8-3.85V and charging cut-off voltage at 4.35-4.4V.

The difference between normal voltage type and high voltage type of lithium ion battery:

The energy density of high-voltage lithium-ion battery cells is relatively high, and their safety performance is lower than that of normal voltage cell. However, their discharge platform is relatively high. Under the same capacity, high-voltage battery cell is lighter in terms of volume and weight than normal voltage type lithium ion cell.

In terms of discharge rate, high-voltage lithium ion cell have higher discharge rate and stronger power compared to normal voltage type lithium ion cell. Therefore, high-voltage lithium ion cell should be more suitable for application in products and equipment that require high rate discharge in order to better leverage their advantages.

According to relevant public information, high-voltage lithium ion cell have a higher energy density, which can provide higher peak voltage and greatly increase product performance. The charging and discharging cycle of this type of battery is also more reliable than traditional lithium-ion batteries.
