This guide provides instructions for modifying an i-MiEV battery pack, replacing the original 50Ah LEV50 cells with higher-capacity 93Ah NMC batteries.
Key Considerations: The 93Ah NMC batteries have slightly different physical dimensions and terminal configurations, requiring appropriate adaptation to ensure proper fit and connection within the existing pack structure.

1.Original 50Ah LEV50 Cell

2.Upgraded 93Ah NMC Battery Cell with Custom M8 Terminal Configuration

3.The original LEV50 cell (left) and the replacement NMC cell (right) exhibit minor dimensional differences. Specifically, the NMC cell is somewhat narrower in width compared to the LEV50.

4.The original LEV50 cell and the replacement NMC cell exhibit a slight difference in physical dimensions, with the NMC cell being marginally narrower in width than the LEV50.
