SHENZHEN, May 13, 2025 – Xindong Energy, the small-power battery subsidiary of Sunwoda Electronic, made a landmark announcement at the 2025 China International Battery Fair (CIBF). The company officially unveiled the Yifeng Super-Charge Battery 2.0 and simultaneously launched the Light Power Super-Charge Alliance, a coalition of over 10 electric motorcycle brands and charging operators including Tailg and Moshou. This dual launch signals a strategic shift in the two-wheel EV market, moving competition from energy density to charging speed.

Redefining Electric Motorcycle Charging

The global motorcycle fleet exceeds 680 million units, yet most electric two-wheelers still rely on 0.3C slow-charging batteries that take 3–8 hours to fully charge. This creates a major pain point for urban riders who make short, time-sensitive trips. Xindong’s Yifeng 2.0 addresses this gap by delivering 80% state-of-charge in just 20 minutes with 6 kW peak input power, transforming charging from an overnight chore into a coffee-break experience.
The Yifeng 2.0 uses a standardized module design that fits over 90% of mainstream electric motorcycle platforms and supports both horizontal and vertical hot-swapping, preserving valuable storage space. It achieves 2,000+ charge-discharge cycles and a 5-year design service life, significantly outperforming conventional two-wheel batteries that typically last only 800–1,200 cycles. Pilot deployments have already begun in Hangzhou, with broader rollouts planned for later this year.

Breaking the "Impossible Triangle"

Xindong solved the long-standing tradeoff between fast charging, long cycle life, and safety through three core innovations:
  • Full-Tab 46-Series Cylindrical Cells: Proprietary cut-stack full-tab technology minimizes internal resistance and reduces Joule heating
  • Multi-Domain Thermal Management: Three concentric cooling layers maintain cell temperature variance within 2°C
  • Smart Charging Algorithm: Dynamically adjusts voltage and current to suppress lithium plating, the primary cause of battery degradation

The Light Power Super-Charge Alliance

Recognizing that hardware alone cannot transform the industry, Xindong launched the Light Power Super-Charge Alliance to establish shared fast-charging standards and build interoperable infrastructure. This addresses the classic chicken-and-egg problem that has stalled previous fast-charging initiatives. By uniting OEMs and charging operators at launch, Xindong aims to accelerate widespread adoption of super-fast charging technology across the two-wheel EV market.

Conclusion

The Yifeng 2.0 launch represents a major milestone in electric motorcycle technology. By combining industry-leading charging speed with a cross-industry alliance, Xindong Energy is positioning itself as a leader in the next generation of two-wheel electrification. If successful, this initiative could pressure incumbent suppliers to accelerate their own fast-charging roadmaps and significantly improve the electric riding experience for millions of users worldwide.
