The top 5 companies in terms of total shipments are CATL, BYD, EVE, REPT and HITHIUM.
Their shipment scales are all above 5 GWh, with CR5 reaching 69.3%. The shipment scale of companies ranked six to ten falls between 3-5 GWh, with CR10 reaching 90%. CATL's market share fell from 41% last year to 33% in 2023.
Not only did price competition and European and American inventories affect the shipments of leading companies, but it was also squeezed by the expansion of peers and the outbreak of the Chinese market. It robbed the Chinese market. The situation has become more intense, putting more pressure on companies with a larger share of shipments in overseas markets.
In addition, the total shipment volume of Korean Samsung SDI and LG's ternary energy storage cells in the first half of the year was about 7 GWh. LG's shipments have recovered slightly, and the two shipments accounted for about 7.6% of the total.
